construction progress : the settlement, kiawah island

construction is well underway on a river course view home in the settlement of kiawah island sc. this is a progress followup to the ‘home with a view‘ project we designed in 2013. as seen in the image above, the home is sited for views of the golf course and around the triple live oak tree as seen in the foreground.

the radius porch framing + brick foundation is now nearing completion and epic development group is doing a great job executing the details as designed. the chimney will be home to two fireplaces, one within the great room and the other on the covered porch. one can begin to see the second floor balcony above which captures the views of both the river course and bass pond. the construction should be completed in the summer of 2014.
